Jiu-Jitsu Rally 2009!!!

Welcome to JJ Rally! JJ Rally is a cross country fundraising tour of the United States sponsored by the TAP NPO. We will be stopping at some of the best BJJ academies in the country as well as some of the top sites in the USA (Grand Canyon, California Coast, etc).

The JJ Rally is the largest of the fundraising events put on by the TAP NPO. TAP stands for Training Assistants Program. TAP helps sponsor after school athletic training programs and clinics in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, submission grappling, wrestling, and judo for inner city students between the ages of 5-17 years old in New England. TAP also sponsors women’s self defense courses and law enforcement tactics courses.

We hope that this event will grow each year. We will help cover some of the costs associated with the trip (gas, food, lodging, etc) through fundraising and sponsorship. We cannot promise all the costs will be covered, so 'Ralliers' may have to cover some or all of the costs themselves depending on the support and success we get from our fundraising and sponsors. Our goal is to make this event so popular it can be 100% covered from start to finish with no cost to the participants of the trip. We can only do this by getting lots of people to support the Rally in any way they can (participants, sponsors, volunteers, etc...)

This is how JJ Rally is going to work. We will be taking a cross country trip, the exact route and sites will be released at a later date, we will look to fundraising and sponsorship to cover the costs associated with the travel, while100% of the money raised as a result of the seminars will go to funding afterschool programs in the upcoming school year. We hope to have some of the top talent in the USA attending the Rally; we are looking for people and academies to sponsor Rally Seminars at their facilities. The seminars will cover a prearranged set of techniques. (If there is something more specific the schools want to cover, a special curriculum can be made as well.) The schools are responsible for advertising and marketing the seminars. We will charge $35/ person at each seminar. The cost is low so more people can attend. Again, 100% of all the money made at the seminar will go towards the TAP NPO for the afterschool programs.

In addition to the schools that will host Rally seminars we will also be stopping at many of the top schools in the USA for great training opportunities. We want the JJ Rally to be a win-win for everyone involved. Schools will get free advertising via the JJ Rally site and many other online and print publications as well as get to offer inexpensive seminars to their students. Anyone participating in the Rally and making the trip, whether it be the entire route or people jumping in for a portion of the trip, will get great training, make new friends, and get to see some of the best sites the USA has to offer all while supporting a good cause doing what they love....BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU!
